    Hello,
this new thread should help to improve your (and my) english skills. You can chat about everything, but try to say it in english :zwinker: If you don`t know a word, put it into (......) so someone can translate it later.
    So lets start

but this shouln`t be only about correction:smile:

I think, it needs a new thread, cause I`ve never seen the last one with my own eyes.

@ thom: fasser, moser, broser? Like the said, during our english lessons at school" heike wasn`t there, the day they learned the th ! "

Right. It should be just for fun, so there should be no correcting or teaching unless someone's being asked to do so.

    Stuff like tha' :zwinker:

Well, but someone should propose a topic to talk about, because otherwise no one will ever write anything sensible in here.

I think it won't last that long and the thread will dissapear, because there is always the same problem: nobody knows what to talk about.

We've had a girl in school - she really couldn't say the th. It never sounds English when she was speaking English.

I gues the speech pathologists in great britain and the USA have a lot to do, teaching the right way to do the th to the children!

a topic might be english movies or series..........

Then I won't talk here any more, because I don't even have a TV...

But if children learn the th at first, it will be easier for them, won't it?

Hmmm there are always some (Laute) thar are more complicated, in German it`s the /sch/ or the /s/. I think in England it`s the th

So we need a topic that includes persons without tv:grin:
I watched SATC and Desperate Housewives in english cause the second season doesn´t run at Pro 7 yet.
It`s so wicked to get back to the german voices, when you know the original!

    Or wordplays, last episode:
    wife "we gonna get late"
husband(looks at her and starts kissing her again) "Yes we gonna get laid"

I always watch Malcolm in the Middle in English, sometimes the Simpsons or King of Queens, because in my opinion it's funnier to hear the original voices (and you get used to them in case you want to move to Britain one day :zwinker:).

I can see DVD's (is this the same word in English?). "Lord of the rings" is a film which I always look in English. It's a lot better then.
